bodyART™ by Robert Steinbacher is a holistic, functional, mind/body workout combining strength, cardio, flexibility and classical breathing techniques. Based on the principles of Yin and Yang and the 5 elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, bodyART™ training creates a dynamic link between - active and passive movement creating a greater sense of balance in the body. Many of the movements in bodyART™ are inspired by yoga, pilates, tai chi, martial arts and tribal dance creating a synergy of physical training and mental relaxation. Classes are designed to meet the needs of each individual by offering multiple levels of difficulty for each exercise in this challenging barefoot workout.
When I discovered BodyART™, I couldn't go more than 6 months without a terrible bout of back pain that would last for several weeks. From wear and tear as a dancer/athlete and a spinal fusion from a traumatic injury, I was chasing my tail trying to figure out a way to stabilize my spine and prevent further injury. bodyART™ was the first thing that createdconsistent stability and balance in my spine and offered a greater sense of flexibility and freedom of movement in my entire body.
I thought I was going to be so sore after my first class and I was pleasantly surprised to pop out of bed the next morning with more energy than I'd had in years! After participating in weekly bodyART™ classes for 3 months with master trainer, Ryan Daniel Beck, I was stable enough to have an uninterrupted career as a dancer and fitness model and felt like I could trust my body again.
In May of 2013, I went through the bodyART™ Teacher Training and am beyond passionate about spreading the word about this revolutionary mind/body workout in the United States.
